A passenger who went overboard on a Caribbean cruise was dramatically rescued by the vessel's crew, it has been reported.

On Tuesday night, a ship guest tweeted there was a “man overboard” while the vessel was “halfway between Miami and Nassau.” He noted that the cruise is popular among young people on spring break, although there were no further details about the person in the sea.In a later broadcast, Jarvis revealed the passenger had been plucked from the water. Jarvis said: “They have safely rescued the passenger...the captain has announced 'they have saved the person.

Once the crew member went overboard, the captain stopped the ship to begin rescue efforts before the Coast Guard took over the search. The crew member’s name was not released, but The Associated Press reported he was 26 years old.
