Twenty orphans from Felda Jengka 24 were given a special treat as they were taken to a local supermarket to purchase their school supplies for the upcoming academic year. The initiative, spearheaded by the Felda Jengka 24 Land Development and Security Committee (JKKR) and As-Sobirin Mosque, aimed to ease the financial burden of single parents and ensure that the orphans had everything they needed for a successful school year.
Twenty orphans from Felda Jengka 24 were taken to the Mydin Supermarket in Jengka to purchase school supplies such as clothing, bags, shoes, and stationery in preparation for the new school year in mid-February 2025. According to Razak Daud, the Chief Felda Settler of Felda Jengka 24 , the initiative was undertaken by the Felda Jengka 24 Land Development and Security Committee (JKKR) and As-Sobirin Mosque.
Each orphan received RM300 as a gesture of concern for the financial needs of single mothers or fathers in providing their children with school supplies. \This is an annual program, but for the first time this year, the orphans were taken to the supermarket and given the freedom to choose their own school needs. Previously, they were given cash and purchased items with their mothers or fathers. \Razak, who is also the Chairman of the Felda Jengka Social and Community Affairs Bureau, hopes that such programs will serve as an example to the administrations of the 36 Felda Land Development Schemes in the Jengka region because they align with the demands of Islam. Ishak Abdul Ghani, 69, Chairman of As-Sobirin Mosque Felda Jengka 24, said that providing clothing and school equipment to orphans demonstrates the community's care and love for them. He hopes that with this assistance, they will be more enthusiastic and cheerful in their learning process in the 2025 school year. They are considered as the jewels of the Felda Jengka 24 community
