The Toronto starter has topped this number in eight of his 10 home starts and projects for 7.38, per THE BAT. Despite the slumping offense, Toronto opened as long as -150 before moving to -165 by this morning. The move is more geared towards the starting pitching matchup the Jays have as Gausman looks to be back to form while Flaherty will be making his first start for the O’s since being acquired from the Cards.
Toronto has lost 10 of Gausman’s 21 starts on the year and has finished with four or fewer runs in 14 of those games. The right-hander has been better at home, especially with the punchouts, as he has 94 Ks over 65-plus innings.
