A tree-planting event meant to beautify the environment ironically left the area dirty and ugly, a passer-by pointed out.
It was jointly organised by the Kembangan-Chai Chee Citizens's Consultative Committee and its community partner, Q&M Dental Group.
Mr Ngoi Khor Peng, chairman of Kembangan-Chai Chee CCC, told Stomp in response to queries:"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused at Marine Terrace MRT station following the event. "The light rain before the event made the ground muddy, and since the tree planting took place near both exits of the MRT station, many attendees used the underpass, exacerbating the mess.
