Ops Gegar: 17 pelayan wanita Thailand ditahan
KUALA TERENGGANU: Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia menahan seramai 17 wanita Thailand yang juga pelayan di sebuah pusat hiburan di bandar raya ini menerusi Ops Gegar, semalam.
Menurut beliau, hasil aduan dan risikan JIM juga mendapati pusat hiburan berkenaan beroperasi dengan berselindung di sebalik sebuah restoran dan menggani wanita Thailand sebagai ‘pelaris’. “Tindakan pantas pasukan penguat kuasa yang mengepung kawasan tersebut termasuk laluan pintu belakang berjaya menghalang usaha mereka untuk melarikan diri.
“Mereka yang ditahan ditempatkan di Depot Imigresen Ajil, Hulu Terengganu untuk siasatan lanjut mengikut Akta Imigresen 1959/63 dan Peraturan-Peraturan Imigresen 1963,” kataya ketika dihubungi, hari ini.
