PUTRAJAYA tidak akan menambat ringgit kepada dolar Amerika Syarikat seperti yang berlaku semasa krisis kewangan Asia pada 1998, kata Timbalan Menteri Kewangan Ahmad Maslan kepada Dewan Negara hari ini. Beliau berkata sebarang langkah untuk menambat mata wang itu akan menyebabkan Malaysia hilang keupayaan untuk menguruskan dasar monetarinya sekali gus berpotensi membawa kepada peningkatan lagi dalam Kadar Dasar Semalaman .
