Opposition will rally behind PM over ‘threats’, says PN man

Wan Ahmad Fahysal Wan Ahmad Kamal says the opposition can play ‘bad cop’ in criticising Western countries who back the Israeli government.

Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal urged the government to share with the opposition more information on the threats received by the prime minister.

Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fahysal Wan Ahmad Kamal said the opposition will support Anwar in defending the country’s sovereignty. He also urged the government to reveal more information on the threats that Anwar had received. “We understand that there are times when the government cannot speak too harshly. Perhaps the opposition can do so because we have more latitude in criticising our trade partners as the consequences are not as grave to us compared with criticism from the executive,” he said at a press conference in the Parliament lobby.
