The State is set to oppose bail for Anwar Khan, former bodyguard of slain musician Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes, in a fraud case involving the University of Fort Hare. Khan's company, Pentagon Group, is accused of pocketing millions for protection services to university senior staff.
Ten of the 12 accused in the University of Fort Hare case, who appeared at the Dimbaza Magistrate's Court on Thursday, were released on bail R50 000 each.
The State is set to oppose bail for Anwar Khan, former bodyguard of slain musician Kiernan"AKA" Forbes, when he appears in the Alice Magistrate's Court, sitting in Dimbaza, in the Eastern Cape on Friday. Khan's Pentagon Group was accused of pocketing R62 million for protection services to university senior staff following attacks and murders.
