Essential Media Managing Director Peter Stahel recently commented on the opposition leader’s struggle with approval ratings, particularly at the beginning of their term.

However, he points out that the opposition leader’s current negative rating of 8 per cent is worse than the Prime Minister’s ratings when he was in the opposition role back in 2019.
