Opinion: Springboks WILL use Mbonambi ‘saga’ as motivation

The controversial allegations made against hooker Bongi Mbonambi are likely to be used as a motivating factor by the Springboks this week.

prepare to face the All Blacks in the World Cup final this Saturday, there is a school of thought that suggests the team may be distracted by the allegations that have been made against Mbonambi, the team’s first-choice hooker and vice-captain.There is increasing evidence to suggest that what Mbonambi said was misinterpreted, but this hasn’t stopped a massive backlash and outcry, particularly from the English media and supporters in the wake of the semi-final defeat.
