KOTA BHARU: Operasi mencari dan menyelamat 3 lagi mangsa hilang dalam tragedi bot terbalik dan karam di perairan Bachok yang memasuki hari ke-4 hari ini akan diperluaskan lagi kepada lebih 400 batu nautika persegi dari tempat kejadian.

Pengarah Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia Kelantan, Muhd Nur Syam Asmawie Yaacob berkata dalam operasi semalam operasi pencarian seluas 351.6 batu nautika persegi masih gagal mencari Arman Ismail, 43, Harun Daud, 57, dan Che Wadi Bakar, 40-an. “Hari ini operasi SAR bermula pada 7 pagi dengan membabitkan 81 pegawai dan anggota membabitkan pelbagai agensi. Ia juga termasuk bantuan para nelayan tempatan dan juga pihak berkuasa Thailand,” katanya ketika dihubungi. Dalam operasi SAR semalam, pasukan pencarian masih gagal mendapat petunjuk lokasi ketiga-tiga mangsa itu walaupun menemui pelbagai tong dan kayu dipercayai milik bot yang terbalik itu. Setakat ini, 5 mangsa yang meninggal dunia ditemukan sejak operasi SAR dilancarkan iaitu Mohd Syahrizan Daud, 40-an, Muhamad Zaki Muhamad Nordin, 19, Wan Aminudin Wan Hussin, 60-an, seorang warga Thailand yang hanya dikenali sebagai Pokta, 50-an dan Ahmad Syafiq Che Alim, 30. Dalam kejadian 8 malam itu, 12 daripada 20 mangsa terselamat dalam kejadian tersebut, dengan semua mangsa berusia antara 18 hingga 60 tahun.
