Two Garden State Parkway service areas that are under construction will not be open by Memorial Day, the original target date.
Completion of construction of new buildings and fuel stations at the Brookdale south and Vauxhall service areas will be delayed, officials said, but when they reopen they’ll bear the names of two famous New Jersey women.
“We expect construction to be done in July,” said Tom Feeney, a New Jersey Turnpike Authority spokesman. “Late May was the original target, but there have been delays related to supply chain issues.” If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
