PUTRAJAYA: Recoveries continue to outpace new Covid-19 cases, with 45 patients discharged compared to six new cases recorded, the health ministry revealed this evening.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the six new cases — which pushes the total to 8,596 — four were local transmissions involving Malaysians, namely three in Selangor and one in Sarawak.Noor Hisham also said two patients are being treated in the intensive care unit .
