The Boathouse Pulau Tioman is the third high-end resort on the Malaysian island.
SINGAPORE – Hotel Properties Limited , the property and hotel developer owned by Singapore tycoon Ong Beng Seng, opened its latest resort on Tioman Island on July 1, three years after it began construction.
Despite Tioman’s renown as a diving destination, The Boathouse Pulau Tioman is only the third high-end hotel to open so far on the island, which is off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. HPL Hotels & Resorts chairman Stephen Lau said the addition of The Boathouse Pulau Tioman will strengthen the company’s presence in Malaysia, in line with its broader strategy of regional expansion and growth.
