OnePlus Open Finally Debuts With Dual LTPO Displays, Triple Cameras

After months of teasing, the OnePlus Open has finally made its debut on the same day that OPPO's latest foldable got a global release, which makes sense

considering how they are practically the same phone with different branding. Putting that aside, the brand's first foldable phone boasts very impressive specs that already put it as one of the highest-tier devices in this category, at least on paper.

The OnePlus Open sports a 6.31-inch outer screen and a larger 7.82-inch screen when unfolded. Both displays use an LTPO AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 2,800 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate, but the difference is that the main display can go all the way down to 1Hz while the secondary screen can only dial down to 10Hz.

Under the hood, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal, powered by a 4,805mAh with support for 67W charging. For photography, it carries a total of five cameras. The rear packs a 48MP primary camera with a Sony LYT-T808 'Pixel Stacked' CMOS sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, all with OIS.

The OnePlus Open retails for US$1,699.99 and comes in two colours, black and emerald green. As of now, there's no word yet from the brand on whether or not it will bring its new foldable to the Malaysian market like its sister company did.
