Responding crews located one person dead inside of the building, which LAFD crews learned was a recording studio.
Firefighters engaged with a two-story recording studio caught on fire in Hollywood discovered the body of a deceased person Thursday evening.When Los Angeles Fire Department crews entered the building, they located the body of a deceased person at the scene.
The person's identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin and the ongoing investigation. Two other individuals were also being treated for smoke inhalation, but declined transport to a nearby hospital. At around 7:15 p.m., LAFD crews reported that the fire was knocked down thanks to help from the 78 firefighters on hand.
The cause of the fire was unknown, though crews planned to remain on scene throughout the evening to investigate the cause and handle any remaining hot spots.
