One dead after rollover crash in Chula Vista [Breaking]
A 71-year-old man was killed Monday morning in Chula Vista after his Buick Envision hit a curb, rolled over and crashed into two unoccupied cars, the Chula Vista Police Department said.
The accident took place at 6:43 a.m. near the 1800 block of Port Renwick in a residential neighborhood. “He hit the curb at just the wrong angle. That caused the vehicle to tilt over onto one side and momentum kept it moving forward, and the vehicle ended up overturning,” Officer Ryan Culver told the Union-Tribune.The driver, Samuel Montes, was found unresponsive in his car and transported to a local hospital. Montes was pronounced dead at the hospital after medical staff attempted life-saving measures.
