Chicago teens looking for something fun and safe to do over Memorial Day weekend can head downtown to the Harold Washington Library forThe event is a free-of-charge gaming convention, designed by the Chicago Teen Gamers Guild. Justin Shannin, teen services library associate, says there’s something at the convention for every level of gamer.

The one-day convention takes place between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, and participants can sign up for some activities in advance on the event website. There will also be a Mortal Kombat X tournament starting at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament at 3 p.m. At 5 p.m., the library will close, but those participating in the Super Smash tournament will be able to stay after hours until 9 p.m.
