Governor-elect Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, have handed over their certificates of return to President Bola Tinubu, thanking him for support and advocating for collaboration with opposition parties.

“Yes, coming here today to meet with the president is to express my gratitude to him as the leader of the country and of our party for providing a level playing ground and also, as leader of our party, to present my certificate of return to him,” the governor-elect said. He appealed to the opposition parties to collaborate with his administration and present their ideas for the development of the state.
“Good governance is what I have to give to the people; I am not just coming in as a fresher; I have been serving the state for the past 10 months,” he said.
