The judge, Inyang Ekwo, gave the directive after the counsel for the APC, Tayo Oyetibo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria , informed the court that the party had written a letter to the Chief Judge of Federal High Court, John Tsoho, for the matter to be transferred to the Akure division of the court. He urged the court to declare that Mr Aiyedatiwa is not the valid candidate of the APC by virtue of the party’s non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022 and the regulations and guidelines of the political party in the conduct of the poll.
