On MH370 anniversary, Loke promises to keep fighting for families’ settlement

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 on March 8, 2014, while en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. – EPA pic, July 1, 2018.

FORMER transport minister Anthony Loke turned up at a remembrance event for missing Flight MH370, promising next of kin of the victims that he would continue pushing for compensation, even though he is no longer in the government. “I will not give up, even though I’m no longer the minister. I promise that, once the cabinet is formed, I will personally go see the minister of transport who succeeds me and appeal to him to take up the issue with the cabinet’s approval.
