On Labour Day eve, MTUC urges govt to press on with pledged worker reforms

MTUC secretary-general J. Solomon said that when PH was voted into power last May, workers and trade unions had their hopes revived that a new administration would be able to improve the conditions for the bottom tier wage earners. Solomon said the current minimum wage of RM1,100 is still inadequate to meet living costs that have skyrocketed and urged the government to consider MTUC's proposal to increase the amount to RM1,800.
