The Nigerian Army, NA on Monday disclosed the identities of soldiers who were gruesomely murder by suspected militias in Delta State last week.

DAILY POST reports that at least 17 soldiers of 181 Amphibious Battalion of the NA, who were on a peaceful and mediatory mission in Okuama and Okoloba Communities in Ughelli South and Bomadi LGAs of Delta State were murdered by armed gang in the communities. The unfortunate development has continued to gain the attention of concerned Nigerians both at home and abroad.

However, NA, in a statement issued on Monday by the Director Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu said there 'will be no reprisal on the part of the troops'. It vowed to ensure that those involved in the heinous killings are apprehended and prosecuted. Subsequently, the Nigerian Army Headquarters took to its official X handle to reveal details of the slain soldiers.
