C.J. Stroud is one of 11 quarterbacks to be named a finalist for the Manning Award, which will be given out following bowl season in January.
Along with Stroud, USC's Caleb Williams, Alabama's Bryce Young, UNC's Drake Maye, Tennessee's Hendon Hooker, Washington's Michael Penix Jr., Georgia's Stetson Bennett, TCU's Max Duggan, Mississippi State's Will Rogers, Oregon's Bo Nix and Wake Forest's Sam Hartman all made the list.
Stroud was named the Big Ten's Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year and Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year on Wednesday,Stroud has thrown 3,340 passing yards, 37 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 66.2% of his passes through the first 12 games of the season. Stroud's 37 scores are tied for the FBS lead alone with Houston quarterback Clayton Tune, and his 176.25 passer rating is the best figure in the nation.
Stroud is also a finalist for the Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Player of the Year and Davey O’Brien Award.
