Ohio State opens as a 20.5-point favorite for next weekend’s game against Purdue.
Although the Buckeyes might be heavy favorites over the Boilermakers, Ohio State has struggled mightily in games at Purdue. The Boilermakers have won three of the last four games against the Buckeyes in West Lafayette. Recently, Purdue has been able to hold its own whether the game is in Indiana or Columbus, as Ohio State is just 6-4 overall and 4-6 against the spread against the Boilermakers over the last 10 matchups.
Purdue is 2-4 both overall and ATS, including 1-3 ATS at home, as the Boilermakers’ only cover in West Lafayette so far this season was in a blowout win over Illinois. Ohio State is 40-15-2 all-time against Purdue but just 9-5 against the Boilermakers this century. The Buckeyes are 4-3 vs. the Boilermakers since the start of the 2009 season .
