Nick Mangold will be enshrined in the New York Jets’ Ring of Honor this fall after earning seven Pro Bowl berths during his 11-year career with the team.

Mangold’s induction ceremony will be held at halftime of the Jets’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 25.

“This is a shock,” Mangold told Johnson when he received the news. “Thank you so much. This is awesome and amazing since it's with two of my guys ... it's definitely an honor and I can't wait to start the celebrations.” Mangold made seven Pro Bowls and earned first-team All-Pro honors twice during his 11 NFL seasons, all of which he played with the Jets. The Jets drafted Mangold with the No. 29 overall pick in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft after he earned All-American honors in his final season at Ohio State in 2005.

A three-year starter for the Buckeyes from 2003-05, Mangold returned to Ohio State and earned his degree from the university in 2019 after completing his NFL career.
