Ohio State football respects one Penn State offensive position, even if the stats have underwhelmed this season.
Last season, the duo combined for 1,918 yards and 22 touchdowns while averaging nearly 6 yards per carry. They provided the foundation of an offense upon which first-year starting quarterback Drew Allar could build the passing attack.
So that’s what the statistics say. Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, though, trusts his eyes more than numbers. Allen rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries against OSU last season. The Buckeyes limited Singleton to 45 yards on 14 carries.
