A road traffic sign warns of construction.WASHINGTON, D. C. - Ohio will get nearly $2 billion in money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for projects to improve Ohio’s bridges, roads, tunnels and other surface infrastructure, Ohio members of Congress announced on Wednesday.
Rep. Tim Ryan, a Niles-area Democrat, said in a prepared statement the funded projects “will slash commute times, lower car repair costs, reduce pollution and support good-paying, union jobs.” He said the legislation included “Buy American” rules he supported that will finally begin repairing the nation’s crumbling infrastructure “while ensuring our future is made in America by American workers.”
