A Malaysian police officer paid for a motorcyclist's brake repair after he was caught running two red lights. The motorcyclist explained that both his brakes were broken, forcing him to violate traffic rules.

Every road user is required to follow the laws set by the authorities. However, there are some who violate these regulations despite knowing it is an offense. Nevertheless, as human beings, we can understand if such actions are committed due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances as long as they do not endanger the lives of other road users.

Recently, a post on TikTok (@zukiy3044) went viral when a Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM) officer, known as Mohd Dazuki, and his colleague were conducting surveillance on a road in Kota Setar, Kedah. In the shared video, the police officer is seen detaining a motorcyclist for twice running a red light. Initially, Mohd Dazuki assumed that the perpetrator deliberately disobeyed traffic regulations. However, the story took a different turn when the officer learned the real reason behind the motorcyclist's actions. According to the rider, who is also a father, both brakes of his motorcycle were damaged, forcing him to run the red light. It was understood that the man and his wife were unable to afford the cost of repairing their motorcycle's brakes. Concerned about their plight, Mohd Dazuki and his colleague offered to pay for the brake service at a workshop. In the post, both officers are seen accompanying the motorcyclist and his family while waiting for the vehicle to be repaired
