Terri Perry, 30, was charged with murder in the death of 57-year-old Alphonso Clark.
OAKLAND — A city resident has been charged with murder, robbery, and gun possession in the Sept. 10 shooting death of a 57-year-old in-care boarding home patient, court records show.
Perry was identified through surveillance video and other evidence, then confessed when he was arrested on Sept. 27, police said.Sept. 10, inside a home on the 1700 block of 11th Street in Oakland. Police at the time said he was shot multiple times after attempting to stop a robbery in progress at the residence.
Police said in court papers that Perry was identified as a suspect through “surveillance footage, witness statements, cell phone data, and witness photo lineup,” as well as crime scene evidence. Police believe they recovered the firearm used to kill Clark, during a Sept. 27 search of Perry’s home. Authorities haven’t said whether they believe the house was targeted randomly for robbery or if Perry had a connection to one or both of the victims.Ask Amy: She won't follow the bed rule and we're thinking of barring her from our home‘Mood is dark’: 80% of Bay Area voters see state of big three downtowns as serious problem, poll finds
