KUALA LUMPUR: With Teachers Day coming up next Monday (May 16), now is the perfect time to nominate your favourite inspiring educator for the inaugural Malaysia Teacher Prize.

The award is the Malaysian edition of the Varkey Foundation's Global Teacher Prize and is now open for applications.

The top 10 finalists will also undergo professional development to help them better understand their impact as educators and potentially scale their work beyond their schools. Those who are interested in nominating a teacher can do so by submitting their nominations and providing basic information on their nominees.Teachers can also apply for the award themselves.
