NSTnation NZ crash victims laid to rest in Christchurch

The bodies of family medicine specialist Dr Rumihati Abdul Hamid and her husband Adenan Jeman, both 49, as well as their two children Nur Irfan, 15, and Nur Aleeyah Maisarah, 13, were buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Christchurch.

Earlier, a prayer was held at a Christchurch mosque which was joined by Dr Rumihati's brother Othman Abd Hamid and several family members, as well as Centerbury Muslim Association members.Last Friday, the family of five, who was on holiday, were involved in a car crash at Kaikoura Highway at 3.10pm local time.

Dr Rumihati, Adenan, and Nur Aleeyah died on the spot, while Nur Irfan, who was critically injured died on Sunday while receiving treatment at the hospital. The youngest child Nur Anifah Bahiyah, 11, is reported to be in stable condition and currently receiving treatment at Wellington hospital.
