Gunfire broke out in Manhattan and the Bronx on Thursday, leaving two men dead and another injured in separate incidents.
At 4:06 p.m. on Dec. 15, officers from the 34th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot at 144 Nagle Avenue in Washington Heights. Upon their arrival, police found 30-year-old Tykeem Berry with a gunshot wound to his chest.Later that night at 10:02 p.m., officers in the Bronx’s 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot in front of 189 Burnside Avenue.
Both men were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where the 32-year-old man was pronounced dead — his identity is being withheld pending family notification. The 27-year-old man is listed in stable condition.
