A man has been arrested by police on Friday morning following a horror stabbing in Campbelltown.

At about 5.30am on Friday morning police raced to the fast food restaurant on Queen Street in Campbelltown, following reports a man had been stabbed.

When police arrived at the scene, the male paramedic was treated at the site before being rushed to Liverpool Hospital.A NSW ambulance paramedic has been stabbed outside a McDonalds in Sydney's southwest. Officers arrested a man at the scene and have taken him to Campbelltown Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.Officers from Campbelltown Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
