NSTP newspaper seller M.Krishnasamy, 75, said people waited at his shop every morning before it opened since the start of the Movement Control Order on March 18.

“People don’t want to miss out on important news and current development in the country during the global pandemic. They now prefer to get the latest updates from official news sources, so they buy NSTP papers. “The newspapers carry important updates from the government, which they can refer to while making important decisions,” he said when met here.“Because some people are already at the shop before I open, I let them take the papers first and pay me later.”

Due to such good response to the daily newspapers, he said he had requested for the copies to be increased.
