The Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has launched an investigation into the Abuja-Kaduna train that derailed at the Jere corridor.
Recall that some coaches in a train which departed the Rigasa Train Station in Kaduna on Sunday morning to Abuja reportedly derailed in a mountainous area near Jere.
Reacting to this development, the agency in a notice sent to Vanguard on Monday, May 26, stated that it is aware of the derailment, adding that a team has been deployed to investigate the incident. Meanwhile, a former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani on his official X handle also announced the train derailment in Kaduna.
