The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has strengthened security measures in Ondo State by deploying 1,800 personnel for the Yuletide season.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ) has deployed 1,800 personnel for the Yuletide celebration in Ondo State . State Command Commandant Oluyemi Ibiloye stated that the deployment aims to safeguard the lives and property of residents during the festivities. Operatives have been strategically positioned at high-risk areas, flashpoints, and critical locations, including religious centres, recreational venues, shopping malls, motor parks, and government facilities.

Ibiloye emphasized that personnel from specialized units like the Counter-Terrorism Unit, Anti-Vandal Squad, Special Female Squad, Mining, and Agro Rangers, as well as the CBRNE Unit, will collaborate with the Intelligence and Investigation Department and Quick Response Squad to ensure comprehensive security. The Commandant urged officers to maintain professionalism and cooperate with other agencies. He also appealed to the public to celebrate responsibly and promptly report any suspicious activities to security agencies
