It appears Mebourne are playing mind games with themselves ahead of their preliminary final with Penrith.
The photo quickly went viral on the internet as more soon emerged.
“I wonder if the opposing players in that session jumped all over each other when they scored tries, you know, for authenticity,” one quick-witted person wrote of the photo.Most found it hilarious, but some thought it was pretty standard.“Teams do this stuff all the time, it’s all about the sports psychology. They probably have a few teammates pretending to the players from the opposition,” a fan wrote.
One person called it a Bellamy “masterstroke”, but while the thought and effort to simulate their opposition was there, the detail might have been slightly lacking. ”Easily the best part about this is that they’re not jerseys or official apparel but instead are black t-shirts that appear to have iron-on motifs of our logo, sponsors & stripes,” a Panthers fan wrote.
