This was hardly two hours after the party downplayed the appointment of a PAS member as a nominated assemblyman. Jeffrey had said it was a non-issue since it was not a ministerial post when contacted by The Star on Thursday . “PAS leaders have time and again issued statements that upset the feelings and sentiments of multi-cultural and multi-religious Sabah.“I am aware of his public disapproval of a PAS leader’s statement recently when the latter made erroneous and sensitive comments about the Bible in the Parliament.
Jeffrey said that ultimately, the appointment of nominated assemblymen was the prerogative of the Chief Minister.
