Notre Dame offers a new experience for Kinkaid's Micah Bell, one of the state's top...

• Langham Creek speedster Jaquaize Pettaway signed his letter of intent with Oklahoma on Wednesday, backing up the commitment he made in July. Pettaway is ranked as the No. 10 receiver in the country and No. 8 overall player in Texas. He collected more than 1,800 yards and 16 touchdowns over his final three high school seasons.

• Friendswood edge rusher Braylan Shelby will be moving to sunny Los Angeles for his college career. After committing to USC in August, Shelby signed with the Trojans on Wednesday. He is one of three Texas players expected to be part of the program’s 2023 class. Shelby is ranked as the No. 8 player at his position in the country and the No. 9 overall player in Texas.

• The West Coast trend continued at Cypress Woods, where defensive lineman Terrance Green signed with Oregon. Green added to a 2023 class that recently saw highly touted Dripping Springs quarterback Austin Novosad flip from Baylor. The Ducks also flipped Denton Guyer star safety Peyton Bowen from Notre Dame and have their fingers crossed on landing current Texas A&M commit David Hicks Jr. from Paetow.

• New Caney running back Kedrick Reescano is headed to Mississippi. He is ranked as the No. 9 running back in the country and No. 36 overall player in Texas. Reescano , who was originally committed to Michigan State, rushed for 1,849 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior for the Eagles. New Caney teammate C.J. Blocker also signed and will continue his career at Utah. Blocker is the No. 17 cornerback in the country and No. 33 overall player in Texas.

• Cypress Ranch linebacker Christian Brathwaite will continue his career just one state to the east after signing with LSU. Brathwaite is ranked as the No. 26 linebacker in the country and the No. 52 overall player in Texas. He was committed to Baylor before flipping in October.
