'Not just being Sabahan, but also brainless and not speaking properly': Sabahan in Ipoh laments racist treatment by netizen
Kota Kinabalu: "Not just being a Sabahan, but brainless and not speaking properly. You have tattoos. Go back to your country" — these are some of the racist comments from a netizen that break the heart of a Sabahan who works at an Ipoh cafe. Lee Sean recently posted on Twitter the degrading comments he received on Instagram about his Sabahan accent and tattoos from a random user.
"Lee explained that this wasn't the first time, in fact, he had been downgraded since his move to the peninsula. "I've been downgraded many times since moving here to West Malaysia. I'm sorry, but this is too much," lamented Lee. "I can't hold back my tears after seeing this! All those criticisms and judgments about my tattoos and making fun of my Sabahan accent. "I don't know what I did wrong.
