KUALA LUMPUR: A syndicate selling fake medical certificates (MCs) has been crippled by police.
An alert assistant administration officer at the City Health Department spotted a fake certificate after a staff member submitted it in February.
“She called the hospital for verification and found that the MC was a fake,” he told reporters yesterday. Comm Mazlan said the woman arrested was believed to be in charge of printing the MC booklets, while one of the men arrested was believed to be in charge of marketing their services.
