Cerruti said he has been surprised by the public criticism of the project, including by an environmental group that unsuccessfully went to court seeking to halt construction. Also in January, nails or metal bars were inserted into about 100 trees by anonymous saboteurs allegedly hoping to slow down tree-cutting on the site.
