The North East Youth Progressive Union, in collaboration with the Coalition for Democratic Right Group, has urged judges of the Appeal Court handling the governorship case of Kano State to give justice a chance to prevail on behalf of people.

Chairman of the group, Dr. Kabir Hassan Sambo, while addressing journalists, yesterday, in Yola, said the incumbent governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, deserved kudos for his people’s friendly protection within his short time in office.

“It is worthy of note that Governor Yusuf within the last five months has paid for the tuition, feeding, and accommodation of 1,001 post-graduate students to India, among others. The Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria has urged the state government to make security of life and property of Christian clerics in the state a top priority.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has expressed confidence that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System will work better during next month’s governorship polls in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi states.
