PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission has not received any reports over several parody videos related to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd , says Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil .
"I believe there are at least seven or eight versions of the original video circulating, at least those the ones I am aware of."For now, the MCMC has not taken any action or removed any content indirectly related to GISB. Recently, videos of several individuals singing songs related to the banned sect Al-Arqam and its spiritual leader Ashaari Mohammad, also known as Abuya, went viral on social media.Al-Arqam, founded by Ashaari in 1968, was banned by the government in 1994 following concerns over its deviant teachings and its potential to disrupt social order.The government has continued to monitor the movement, suspecting it of perpetuating the banned ideology under the guise of legitimate business ventures.
