PONTIAN: Former prime minister Najib Razak said the withdrawal of his police outriders had not dampened his spirit to help Barisan Nasional to campaign in the Tanjung Piai by-election.“My outriders were withdrawn during this by-election. Maybe this was done to deter me from campaigning. “I want to say it is no problem. Even without outriders, I will still come, no matter what,” he said at an event in Tenggayun here.

Bukit Aman said it will no longer provide outriders to accompany Najib Razak, in a decision seen as reminiscent of his previous administration’s withdrawal of outriders for Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is now prime minister, two years ago.
