KOTA KINABALU: The state government has decided that federal development projects for schools and clinics can be implemented without land title s as long as they have been gazetted, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

“There is no need to wait for the land title. We must facilitate so that there is no delay in implementing these projects,” said the Chief Minister during his working visit to the Community Development and People’s Well-being Ministry here on Tuesday .In July 2024, he urged agencies responsible for implementing development projects in Sabah to solve any issues as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister cited 25"sick" projects out of the 1,218 currently in progress in the state. These included utility supply projects, schools, health facilities, and public amenities that were not completed within the stipulated period. In response to the issues raised by state Community Development and People’s Well-being Minister Datuk James Ratib, Hajiji urged the Ministry to work with the relevant federal agencies in Sabah so the state could more smoothly implement development projects.

Deputy Chief Minister III/Works Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya; Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun; Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, Tourism; Environment and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew; and State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, were also present.
