There's no more partying at McDonald's, according to the new CEO Chris Kempczinski

as a “macho, guys club” corporate culture at McDonald’s. Kempczinski’s predecessor, Steve Easterbrook had a reputation for partying with other employees and was ultimately fired in November for violating the company’s rules that prohibit dating coworkers, Easterbrook and other executives, including the former head of McDonald’s human resources, David Fairhurst often partied after work with other executives and staffers .

That doesn’t mean throwing wild parties, but instead having thoughtful interactions where employees can be heard, and where executives can share their vision for the future of the organization. Hopefully reeducating the executives on how to appropriately socialize with employees will be part of Kempczinski’s agenda.Clearly heavy drinking and womanizing shouldn’t be part of the executive bonding with employees, but organizations should be aware of other issues as well.
