Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo , a prominent good governance advocate and populist politician, has criticised President Bola Tinubu 's administration for its extravagant spending amidst widespread hunger and suffering among the masses. Ajadi, a Southwest chieftain of the New Nigeria People's Party , voiced his concerns in a release on Sunday, 4 August 2024.
Ajadi acknowledged the government’s efforts at stabilising the economy but expressed scepticism regarding its commitment to delivering on those promises. “The best way for the government to show seriousness to those affirmations is by action,” he said.
The Kano judiciary, yesterday, disclosed that it had launched an investigation to track and account for property vandalised and looted by hoodlums on August 1 during the national hunger protest in the state.President Bola Tinubu has been commended for making the national broadcast to Nigerians to halt the protest which has been described as timely and emotional for the survival of the nation.
