The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) has commenced lifting petrol from the newly operational Dangote refinery in Lagos, marking a potential decrease in fuel prices across the country. The NNPC will purchase petrol from the refinery at a price of N766 per litre due to a deal with Dangote where crude oil is supplied in naira. While this represents a significant reduction compared to current retail prices, marketers anticipate final retail prices to be higher due to transportation, levies, and margins.
